Edward meets up with Charles Vane who is still in the process of acquiring pine pitch alongside one of his crewmates. As he urges them to hurry up, three overhear a navy lieutenant adressing two of his soldiers, ordering them to report to the warship moored nearby and stating that Commodore Peter Chamberlaine has ordered all Pirate ships currently moored near Nassau to be sunk that night out of fear that pirates trapped on the island may start a rebellion despite Woodes Rodgers' desire to avoid resorting to unnecessary violence on the island. Aware that the order hasn't been given out officially yet, Vane muses that someone should kill Chamberlaine before he can make the order official with Edward volounteering to do it, much to the shock of Vane's crewmate who refuses to help the two with murder. In response, Vane knocks him out before urging Edward to proceed with his plan. Edward follows the lieutenant through Nassau and towards Chamberlaine's ship, managing to infiltrate the vessel and swiftly kill Chamberlaine...
