So, given that "no powerups" Checkpoint went fairly well, I kind of wanted to try out the other "forward-moving" level as well. ^.^
Anyway, similar to Checkpoint, the constant push to keep moving forward in Relay does seem to help to some degree to keep you from retracing your steps in dangerous ways. But unlike Checkpoint, Relay actually has two spots (instead of just one) where the level structure forces you to stay in a specific location for a while. ^^
In this particular run... I actually got the powerups to drop more or less where I wanted them to on the elevator... but unfortunately, on the final platform, I didn't get them clustered together quite as closely as I wanted, and kind of ended up blocking two paths instead of just one. ^^;
Fortunately, despite one or two close calls, Aubergine and Helo were somehow able to pull through, and I actually ended up with my first ever "no powerups" VPC4 Relay S+! =)

A couple minorly interesting/amusing moments from this run:
0:47 There was one rocket dog left on the previous platform, and I was thinking about sending Helo back there... but then it got hit by friendly fire, so I didn't have to. =)
4:11 The battery landed on the roof of one of the structures, and I was a bit worried about that... but fortunately, getting close to it pulled it down without issue. ^^
