Aureal A3D Rooms demo with OpenAL Soft HRTF 🎧 (binaural audio) via DSOAL

With the latest builds of DSOAL, it is now possible to emulate Aureal A3D's HRTF with OpenAL Soft. The chain goes:
A3D.dll (Creative .dll) - A3DAPI.dll (Aureal A2D wrapper converting to DirectSound3D) - dsound.dll (DSOAL) - OpenAL Soft
In addition, d3drm.dll was required for A3D Rooms which can only be downloaded from rather fishy websites. The dgVoodoo wrapper was also required to enable windowed mode for recording in HD.
OpenAL Soft HRTF (IRC_1037 tables) compares very nicely to the real deal. There's no wavetracing or occlusions, though there is volume attenuation behind walls which really surprised me. There's also support for height HRTF, but only on certain sounds which was weird. I still hope that someday a true A3D emulator will be created, but for now DSOAL is a great alternative for modern systems.
