Here, we explore a cave close to the grove that has some goblins inside.. and it oddly connects back to the prisoner spot, but whatever.

Then we come across two people mourning over a fallen comrade.. but said comrade tells them not to worry and calls us a 'True Soul' before dying.. whatever that is. We play along and tell the duo to avenge him by taking down the owlbear that got him. We take his tadpole and a spear shaft and move on.
We meet the two at the entrance to the owlbear cave and enter. Shadowheart has some qualms with us taking some offerings at a shrine to Selune.. turns out she worships Shar. Don't really care, but since she made a big fuss over it, we make her carry a Selune idol and a prayer sheet.
Then we take down the owlbear. Honestly.. I was hoping the two friends would just barge in there and die while weakening it a little, but it didn't happen that way. Oh well. We spare the cub because killing baby animals is just cruel. We punted a squirrel earlier, sure, but at least it wasn't a baby.........

ANYWAY.. we loot the spear tip and combine it with the shaft, then move on. We come across a dog staying by his dead master's side. He won't follow us, but we give him the chance should he choose to later.

Then we come upon a dead boar that Astarion is curiously picky about us not looking at.. so.. we look at it. He seems to know more than he's letting on about its death, but whatever.

And that's where we end. Next time, we start the Blighted Village.
