Baldur's Gate 3 - 13 - Putrid Bog
0We finish exploring the northern area of the map in this part, where we find a group of Githyanki.. led by a dragon rider. In a similar vein to the duo at the owlbear, these Gith are also looking for a group of 'thieves' from the nautiloid crash. Seems they're after the artifact that Shadowheart carries. We play along and they leave.
Afterward, we head back to the Blighted Village and head south. Auntie Ethel is being harassed by two men, but we really don't care one way or the other. She's not happy about that, and kills them.. then vanishes after telling us we better apologize if we see her again.
A bit further along, and we're able to pierce the illusion of the area. Turns out that it's actually a swamp called the Putrid Bog. We meet some redcaps hanging around.. oddly pretending to be sheep. Seems they don't know that we can see them for what they are, and are surprised to learn that. They tell us to leave, we refuse, so we fight.
From there, we hop across some areas of land in the river and are attacked by mud mephits and wood woads. Bit of an odd place to find such creatures. Turns out they were guarding a nook in a tree, which contains a damning letter against Kagha. Something we'll keep in mind for later.
Anyway, this is where we end it for now.
