We start exploring the northern section of the map here, and first we come upon some newborn gnolls. We take care of them, and the others that are a bit farther up the hill.

From there, we come across a former tollhouse.. now inhabited by some paladins of Tyr. They're seeking a devil, but we really don't care. In hindsight.. I could have taken the offer since it aligns with Wyll.. but, oh well. Anyway, turns out the devil is Karlach, so we gather Wyll before confronting her. She's infected with a tadpole like the rest of us, and it turns out she was used as an instrument of war.. instead of seeking to cause it directly.
Regardless, a job is a job.. so we help Wyll take her down. He has some second thoughts on the matter before yelling some sort of cheer or something. Woo, good for him...

Anyway, since we took down their devil.. it's worth seeing if the paladins can rewards us, so we head back to the tollhouse. After getting there, I remember I can Speak With Dead.. and there's a convenient corpse in the room with the trader. Turns out the paladins are pacted to a devil themselves, which is.. interesting. We confront them about this, and it leads to a fight.
Lae'zel destroys Anders in a single hit.. and I couldn't resist adding in a sound clip of Keldorn from BG2 to punctuate it. Such cries of victory, and failure, are missing from BG3.. which is a shame. ...Plus, it acts as a call-back to when the run was originally go to be a paladin.

Regardless, that's where we end for now.
