Batman: Arkham City has finally been released for the PC, after having been out on consoles for quite a while now. Despite some pretty broken DX11 support (which presumably will be patched soon?), it's nice to be back in Rocksteady's elegantly designed take on the third person action adventure genre. The decreased linearity compared to Arkham Asylum opens up opportunities for some freeform exploration and a very large amount of side quest activities to partake in, which could potentially take weeks of playing to wrap up. The series' signature brawler mechanics have been somewhat expanded in both scope and scale, and playing on Hard difficulty requires the player to engage in efficient crowd control by always planning several moves ahead and reacting quickly as well as intelligently to enemy advances.
