I've tried out completing various story objectives in the game while inside AR training. This video shows what happens if you go to the Miagami tunnel network like that.

First, how to escape Augmented Reality training. There's an AR Predator room nearby called Revive and Shine, and while it doesn't have gargoyles to do gargoyle zip with, it still can be escaped by grappling through the blue walls that imprison Batman. The start of the video shows the setup I find very easy to do. After that there's an alternative wall clip I did by accident and didn't try to recreate (just as a bonus).

So. You can see the "last Arkham Knight broadcast location" marker at all times, even inside AR training, making locating the tunnel networks fairly simple. You can get inside even without the Batmobile by using the Line Launcher.

The puzzle areas with remote rang switches are completely open without any gates or buttons you have to push. You can also see Joker hanging out here, sometimes in an odd pose like leaning against nothingness.

The main area doesn't have any enemies in it and stealth is completely unnecessary. You also don't have to use the floor grate since even though the door to the side room is barred, the bars have no collision and you can just walk through them. But, alas...! There is no fuse box here, nor Knight to be encountered (even if you do exit via the floor vent).

You can create a new superhero called No Sound Man by falling into the rotating fans as you abort the simulation. After respawning almost none of Batman's sound effects play. This glitch fixes if you fall into the fans again.

The main area has the fuse box that starts the last chase section. You can in fact activate this fuse box even while inside AR training, but so far it doesn't cause anything but a grisly softlock! You see, nothing happens when you activate it, and afterwards you can't progress in the story any longer. Too bad... So basically this excursion was a dead end.
