Witcher 3 (PS4) - Ciri in the quest A Matter of Life and Death
3Just for curiosity I wanted to play through some bigger quest with Ciri to see what might happen. So here's Triss' first quest, where Ciri & Triss go undercover and hang out at a lavish party.
During cutscenes Ciri either channels Geralt and speaks his dialogue lines for him, or alternatively a placeholder naked Geralt appears to do the talking. This is mostly familiar ground if you saw the previous Ciri glitch videos.
But an elaborate quest like this does have its kinks. One trait of this quest is that you're at a party where everyone wears masks. So Ciri gets to wear a badly fitting mask for this whole quest. Placeholder Geralt remains mask-less.
Later on Ciri and Triss share a tender scene together, although the effect is slightly ruined by Ciri insisting on standing instead of sitting on the bench with Triss. She's all business, I guess.
In the garden maze fist fight, Ciri cheats and uses her sword instead of fists, making very short work of the fight!
And that's pretty much it. I was hoping that a bigger quest that teleports you around and has its own rules would somehow let you get rid of the Ciri restrictions, i.e. let you open up inventory and quick travel, for instance. A Matter of Life and Death didn't help in this respect, but this game is very large and there's still hope that someday doing all those things with Ciri is a reality...
