Having played through Mighty No. 9 on my own - a game which I am ashamed to have crowdfunded in retrospect - I felt the urge to play through what I've found to be the worst MegaMan game made by Capcom themselves: the dreaded MegaMan X6. I attempted to beat the game way back when, but I ended up getting stuck on the fortress stages. Finally, I had the chance to finish the fight.

I'm still baffled at how the MMX games degenerated on the original PlayStation. I'm one of those people who thinks that X4 was the best game in the entire series -- a blasphemer, I know. X5 was decidedly worse, but in retrospect, not nearly as bad. That was the point when I gave up on the series originally and I wish I could remember why. I either outright hated X5 -- despite beating it with both X and Zero -- or maybe I could see the writing on the wall, that the series itself was clearly winding down. I just wish I could remember which it was.
