BioShock: Infinite Walkthrough Part 12: Comstock House
2As Booker and Elizabeth approach the bridge leading directly into Comstock House, they are intercepted by Songbird who physically attacks Booker and nearly kills him. However, just before it is able to deal a killing blow to him, Elizabeth stops it and, desperate to protect Booker, hands herself over to her guardian, allowing it to take her away. As Songbird flies away towards Comstock House, Booker races after it and towards the enterance of Comstock House. However, in the process of crossing the bridge, Booker's surroundings suddenly change to a snow-covered front courtyard of Comstock House. Proceeding inside, Booker hears Elizabeth screaming for help within the section of the house cordoned off by security checkpoint which can only be unlocked from warden's office deep within the house. While making his way through the house and towards the warden's office, Booker discovers that it has been converted into an makeshift asylum and that its patients consist of severely disturbed people showing symptoms similar to those experienced by Chen Lin following Booker's first timeline change. To make matters worse, Booker also finds multiple tears and audio recordings revealing that Elizabeth was experimented on and tortured by Comstock and his researchers for over six months in order to break her resistance after Songbird recaptured her, which led to Elizabeth ultimately resigning to her fate when Booker failed to save her and assuming Comstock's place as the leader of Columbia, intent on leading Columbian military into an violent takeover the world before using her tear-opening abilities to do the same in all other realities, revealing that Booker somehow ended up in the timeline where Comstock's plan to groom Elizabeth into his successor succeeded and where Booker himself failed. After eventually opening the security checkpoint and passing it, Booker comes face-to-face with a woman revealed to be elderly Elizabeth who reveals another horrifying fact to him; Since Booker failed to rescue her from Comstock's captivity in this timeline, Elizabeth lived long enough to lead Columbian attack on New York City in 1983, revealing that Booker was not only transported to the worst possible timeline regarding Elizabeth's fate but also to the future. As Elizabeth leads him to the outer balcony of Comstock House to witness the ongoing bombing of Manhattan by Columbian airships, she reveals that she used her power to pull him into her timeline in order to provide him with the means of rescuing his timeline's Elizabeth from meeting the same fate as her, claiming to have done it out of regret for her actions as she can no longer stop her soldiers from attacking the ground. After giving him a paper with a cipher for which she claims that her younger self will be able to understand, Elizabeth sends Booker back to 1912. Finding himself within Comstock House, Booker races to help Elizabeth, who has been taken to the facility's operating theater in order to be surgically implanted with a device which would administer a painful electric shock to her whenever she disobeys Comstock with her powers being completely nullified by a pair of siphons placed in the building. In order to free Elizabeth, Booker proceeds to fight his way through the building and shut down both siphons, allowing Elizabeth to use her tear-opening abilities to summon a tornado which kills the doctors implanting her device and destroys the operating theater. Upon freeing Elizabeth from her restraints, Booker suggests that they leave the city immediately, only for Elizabeth to refuse, intent on confronting Comstock in order to find out who she is and then kill him with Booker agreeing to help her.
