Welcome back to my channel, dear gamers. After a month of inactivity, prompted by my real-life obligations, it's time to return to business at hand and complete BioShock trilogy with the cult classic, BioShock: Infinite and its "Burial At Sea" expansions so sit back, relax and enjoy the gameplay.

About Game: BioShock: Infinite is 2013 First-Person Shooter video game developed by Irrational Games and published by 2K Games, originally for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PCs while the remastered version of the game was re-released for 8th-generation consoles and modern PCs in 2016 as part of BioShock Collection that also included remastered versions of BioShock and BioShock 2. It is a third and final game of BioShock series. Upon release, BioShock: Infinite was met with critical acclaim from the critics who praised the game's story, setting and characters with some even going as far as to claim that Infinite surpassed its predecessor, 2007's BioShock on nearly every level. In addition to becoming one of the highest-rated video games in history of the medium and third highest-rated game of 2013 behind The Last Of Us and Grand Theft Auto 5, BioShock: Inifnite also won multiple awards in 2013 and 2014, including 2013 Golden Joystick Award, 2013 Spike Award, 2013 DICE Award and 2014 British Academy Video Game Award, cementing the game's legacy in the gaming history. However, despite this success, retrospective views on the game, especially from non-professional critics, were far less favorable with commonly cited negative points of BioShock: Infinite being a confusing storyline and gameplay considered to be simplified in comparison to both of its predecessors. In addition, mixed reception of Burial At Sea expansions led to BioShock series being put on indefinite hold, especially after Irrational Games ceased to exist in 2017 and was restructured into signifcantly smaller Ghost Story Games. As of 2024, it is assumed that BioShock series as a whole has ended with the closest to the continuation of the series being Judas, a spiritual successor of BioShock currently in development by Ghost Story Games which was showcased in 2022 and is expected to release in 2025 at latest.

Story of the game takes place in July 1912 and follows Booker DeWitt, private investigator and former soldier saddled with severe monetary debts who has accepted a job meant to help him repay large part of his debts; Enter Columbia, a floating city-state located off the coast of Maine and kidnap a young woman named Elizabeth for his employers. However, already unconventional task will prove to be significantly more dangerous than expected as Booker quickly uncovers the full extent of Elizabeth's importance to Columbian leadership and residents, all of whom are dead-set on preventing him from leading Elizabeth out of the city.

One rainy day in July 1912, Booker is brought to the lighthouse just off the coast of Maine by two associates of his employer and provided with the weapon and means of activating the mechanism within the lighthouse meant to take him to Columbia itself. However, as he activates the mechanism, which reveals a rocket bound for Columbia, Booker ends up losing his weapon and upon landing in Columbia, starts to slowly familiarize himself with the flying city and its culture, discovering that the city's residents follow extremely militaristic, xenophobic and racist ideology worshipping Columbia itself as God-given "True America" while the world below Columbia is seen as "Sodom" with the worship being concentrated on the founder of Columbia, a preacher named Zachary Hale Comstock who enjoys a significant cult of personality. In addition to that, Columbians are also wary of "False Shepherd" believed to intend to take "Lamb Of Columbia" away with the "mark" of false shepherd being the letters AD branded into his hand. While making his way through the city, Booker sets off towards a Monument Island, a large, isolated island-like structure apparently hosuing his target. However, he ends up sidetracked as Columbians have organized a yearly celebration marking their secession from the United States Of America. While making his way through the fairgrounds, Booker ends up participating in the raffle and accidentally wins after drawing a baseball with the winning number, being awarded with the chance to initiate the stoning of an interracial couple. However, just as he is about to throw the ball, one of the police officers notices AD branded on his hand and outs Booker as False Shepherd. With his cover blown, Booker ends up forced to defend himself and fight his way out of the fairgrounds as it is swarmed by Columbian police forces...
