Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Part 50: Infected in SPACE
0So, after collecting more audio-logs (something this game is notorious for doing) about our past lives, we then head off to do the actual main story line. As the title indicates, we do come across these infected enemies all though, if you’ve played the second game, you’ll notice that they seem very familiar with a certain enemy in that game, one that was well known for steal money from you during combat. I’m not sure if they are hinting at the Scavenger Rats in the second game have some sort of affliction/disease which makes them that way or they were just reusing character models to save money (I really hope it’s the first one). I think my biggest problem with these “Infected” characters are that they seem so suddenly introduced into the game that it doesn’t really make sense. Essentially, they are Zombies (a group of people that get infected by something that turns them into cannibals) that can use weapons that are just relaxing on Helios because video games. In the grand scheme of things, I think this was just to introduce the Scavenger Rats in this game and to mix up the enemy composition (in case it got too boring fighting just the regular soldiers during this gauntlet to the main story quest). I’m wondering if we will see them later on down the line or if they are just for this particular section or even if there will be some backstory as to why/how they got infected.
