Somebody needs a better RAM... At least there's no slow down when I'm actually playing the game without recording, and I'm perfectly cool with that.

First Mountain of Faith and Subterranean Animism had an English patch released, then the demo for the 12th game in the series appeared; as a result, I've been in a huge Touhou craze lately.

This video contains a replay of the third level during my first "blind" run of the Touhou 12 demo done just this morning. I picked the first option Sanae as my character because you could never play as her in the series before and I wanted to see what her shot and bomb look like, and I went with the easy mode to get a hang of the game first, and because I still suck at STGs. I still can't complete Subterranean Animism on Normal Mode, and the only Touhou game I can clear on Normal without using any continues is Phantasmagoria of Flower View.

I didn't really understand how the new UFO system works when I did this run, but now I think I more or less get it. It's almost like multi-tasking when you have to worry about collecting UFOs of the right colours when you need to shoot enemies and avoid all the bullets and shits. Sometimes I get an extra life through this system, but next time I make a foolish mistake and die while chasing down one of them UFOs.

I very much like the separation of power and bombs in this instalment; however, I notice that it is difficult to get back on your feet when you lose a life, not to mention that it's even harder for a newbie to achieve anything after losing all lives and choosing 'continue'.

Still playing to absorb the new music and all that, but I'll probably forget about it until the full release.

Uploaded this video exposing my utter lack of skills mostly to see what the CamStudio + WMM combo for recording and rendering is capable of quality-wise, and I think it's the only video on my channel that isn't of an RPG. Could be wrong though.
