[Synopsis]
This video shows you how to read the color codes on resistors, it shows you how to create a simple circuit using a resistor and a LED diode, and it shows you how to apply the Ohm's law equation for various circuits. I didn't cover capacitors in this video, but when you make more complex circuits you can use capacitors and resistors. Capacitors are reservoirs that hold a charge, and resistors are used to restrict the flow of current in a circuit. As you make more complicated circuits, they can both used. For the sake of simplicity, I will not cover it on this basic tutorial.

This is useful to know if you play around Arduino boards, or Raspberry pie single boards. There are many applications you can use this for, from programming controllers that control motors, conveyor belts, turning on LEDs in a pattern, making a remote control car, or other projects. Breadboards can be used as a useful learning tool to learn about how circuit boards work, and for students of electrical engineering. You can get breadboards of various sizes, and the one I am using in this video is full sized breadboard. You can get a smaller one then this for various projects, and it is useful to use because it doesn't any soldering.
