Todays video we build some sweet awesome additions that will soon accompany the brand new Lego Icons Natural History Museum modular building set #10326 due December 1st! These additions are from rebrickable.com from Brick Artisan. These additions will be a Cafe to the left, and a Tour Souvenir shop to the right. Each of these creations are made to line up with the museum, and are built from straight bricks, and no sets. Each creation is around 1,000 pieces each. That will bring the total piece count from 4,000 pieces with the museum to over 6,000, when complete. This will bring the total size of the base or MILS plate needed to around 70 studs in total in width. The total cost of these bricks to build these sets was around $250 from bricklink, but I did swap out a lot of small parts to help reduce cost. After building the Tours building, we go through and review it. From the roof, we have nice brick built lettering. The second floor seems to be a quint little office, and the lower floor is clearly a souvenirs and ticket shop. The second building has the identical architecture as the first, but the lower floor is windowed off instead of open. The top features brick built lettering as well, and the second floor is a bit more complicated. This floor features a bone inspection area, an art studio, and a pottery or statue repair area. The lower floor is what the buildings main focus is, and that is a fully stocked cafe with pastries, coffee, and tables to relax. I did these models on bare 16x32 base plates so that they can be easily transferred once the museum is built, so the outdoor tables and accessories are all just a theory right now, as I have no clue how the outside of these buildings will tie in. I really like these buildings and I think they will do the job to enhance the new history museum. I especially appreciate how they add more to the museum.
