In todays video we review, or almost roast the lego Ideas #40 The Globe set #21332, with 2,585 pieces. This set was recently released in 2022, and retails for $230 US. It is a rather easy to find set, but I do find that it seems a bit undesirable. This build is for my mother, so it is more in line with what she collects. As far as building, there is not going to be a time lapse as I’m passing this one onto the wife to build. Unboxing the set we find 16 bags, no stickers, and a slim instruction booklet. Usually a slim booklet means a lot of repetition, and according to my wife, there was a bit of that in the build process. This build requires a flat building surface, and not to be build lying in bed like my wife. You will have a hard time. Reviewing the set we find cool printed elements that glow to show the names of the continents, as well as a cool print element that simply says “The Earth” at the bottom. I like the details like the boat, and the compass. But It starts to fall apart when your up close to the set. I am a bit anal and feel for $230, maybe I could use it like an actual globe. It does remind me of an episode of Lego Masters, where they built office items in brick to see if they can be as convincing as the real items. With that, this globe would be great in an office, or study. It is definitely not suited for my collection style. I don’t recommend for an average collector, but do recommend to people who love travel or have that unique space that a set like this can accommodate.
