The International Game Developers Association (or IGDA) has publicly condemned some of the horrible crap that is happening in the games community right now, and good on them. They said:

“Over the last several weeks, game developers and affiliates have been the subject of harassment and 'doxxing' attacks, including threats and posting of home addresses. While we support diverse viewpoints and healthy debate on the issues within our industry, we condemn personal attacks such as these which are not only morally reprehensible, but also illegal in many countries. We call on the entire game community to stand together against this abhorrent behaviour.”

Of course, a handful of people are suggesting the ‘doxxing’ and posting of home addresses was done by the victims themselves in order to garner attention, and while I have found no definitive evidence to prove or disprove this, it has only sparked further harassment. When the harassment started, which was related to information regarding a developer’s alleged sexual relationships with game journalists, I just kept thinking ‘oh, this will end in a few days, it’s the internet’ but it still hasn’t. I don’t care if it’s virtual, it’s scary stuff, and it comforts me to see that the IGDA is saying something about it where others feel they can’t.

Today's show also features big news on Resident Evil 2 and Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft!
