C&C YR Red Resurrection 2.2 - Soviet Mission 8, Desecration [Red Alert 2]
C&C YR Red Resurrection 2.2 for C&C Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge is a mod that was released in April 1st of 2018 by Omegabolt. Soviet Mission 8, Desecration from the original Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 single player campaign with some additional features listed in the modification's website. The modification uses Yuri's Revenge as its base for the rules.
Yuri's Revenge is an expansion pack for C&C Red Alert 2, released in the October 2001. It contains 7 missions for both Soviets and the Allies, it's focused around time travelling back in time to stop Yuri's secret plan of dominating the world by activating secretly constructed Psychic Dominator devices during the war. Missions are way harder than these in vanilla Red Alert 2 campaign but are still much easier than those in C&C Red Alert 2 Mental Omega 3.3 or C&C Red Alert 2 Mental Omega 2.0. There was also planned a campaign for Yuri but it was scrapped due to the time constraints.
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 is a 2.5D real-time strategy computer game by Westwood Pacific, which was released for Microsoft Windows on October 23, 2000 as the follow-up to Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Set in the early 1970s, Red Alert 2 supposedly picks up at the conclusion of the Allied campaign of the first game, but this has been subject to debate. Its expansion is Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge.
With one of the last Allied hopes of winning the war has been destroyed, it's time to do the usual Soviet thingy in the games - silent backstabbing the rivals within. Comrade General, you must return to the Washington DC and find the traitor General Vladimir who resides in the corrupt place of the White House where is guarded by his forces. But be warned General, General Vladimir has the command on the two Soviet bases that guard him - one of them is near the White House, the other just nearby your starting position. Additionally, the Soviet High Command will pay some money (in the form of crates) for every destroyed American building of value, like Jefferson's Memorial or other buildings. Once the mission begins, the Vladimir will send to you three Paratrooper attacks with tons of the basic Conscripts, place some bunkers and you can also deploy Desolators. However remember that Desolator's deploy here is not as deadly as in the vanilla Red Alert 2, it's much less lethal to infantry to have it a more balanced unit than before. Remember also that in this mission your Apocalypse Tanks and Buratinos are a regular units to produce, the Buratinos are great against the defences around the White House. However you should take a look the Cyborgs that can be built in this mission and the later, they are simply a gorgeous addition to your infantry roster, they are so great against ground armies. For building a Cybernetic Core and then waiting several time for the support power "New Soviet Man" your infantry units in a quite big radius will be instantly transformed into powerful universal Cyborgs. They are a great addition to your army, in big groups they are quite a power to be reckoned with, their durability is much better than a standard Conscript and they are universal anti-infantry and anti-vehicle unit. Once the resistance to the White House is destroyed, simply assault the courtyard and bring the Engineer with your army - order him to enter the building and the mission is accomplished.
