Want a roguelite game where you try and stop your brother from pranking the solar system? Then check out this Cheapness affordable gaming review of Captain Forever Remix [Episode 82]

This is a condensed version of the review that shows how Captain Forever Remix by Pixelsaurus Games and Future Crayon:
-Has charming, cartoony graphics with a mildly gross style (Nice visualisation of your brother King Kevin's pranks on our planet as well as cute mutant animal pilots that you fight against)
-Sweet, swinging, mischievous music (A cute sci-fi take on elevator music that can add to feeling of mystery on occasion... if the game doesn't have any secrets)
-Lovely and easy to use modular ship design where you can take ship bits (Body pieces, weapons, thrusters) from defeated enemies and just snap them to yours as you would like (If the added weight does make things a bit more taxing and complicated but there's sort of a colour coded quality system and a lot of times just swapping old pieces with new higher level colours will do on a lot of occasions)
-Lovely sibling rivalry premise with some good lines of dialogue (If they aren't that numerous will repeat soon enough plus some lines are more serviceable than good). It's not much of a story but it gives some much needed distraction from the gameplay/ arcadey focus
-The arcadey/ gameplay focus will not be for everyone especially since the game is quite hard and I was playing on the default difficulty of easy! There isn't really enough distraction to keep at it but maybe this will make a good inbetween game though
-It's not just hard, sometimes it's unpleasant in feel when you've designed a ship that's hard to manoever, has low range (You're quite zoomed in so the range is fairly low to start with), get interrupted by an enemy while scavenging and changing your ship, struggle against hardy high health ship bits and then get damaged by enemies when you finally blow them up... but maybe you're a better ship designer and will fare better!

Practical Concerns:
-Quite short at 5 hours for me
-Bad value for money at R15.80/ $2.00/ £1.44 per hour (But in all fairness that isn't based on a sale price as I usually do because it didn't go on sale during the 2023 summer sale)
-Small download size as it takes up 583.02 Mb on the hard drive
-Easy to run
-Stereotypically kid friendly (At worst one very mild example of bad language)
