(CCPlays) Cold Waters Dot MOD | Y2K NATO Campaign | Part 12: Sixtuple Kill and Clean Sweep
0Previously, in the Cold Waters (DotMod) Y2000 NATO campaign, we killed 2 escorts and a sub, and we were supposed to move south to intercept a PLAN SSK Wolfpack.
I just re-read the orders and realized I'm in the wrong location. By now it's too late. We failed the mission, and Wolfpack hit one of our convoys hard.
23-SEP-00 Received new priority mission
MISSION: Intercept PLAN battle group sortied from Ningbo (northern China) which will patrol the East China Sea. Sink as many as possible.
Due to our previous... order interpretation error we are still in the East China Sea, how fortunate.
24-SEP-00 Dive to engage PLAN assets.
Sonar quickly identified multiple escorts mixed among civilian merchantmen. We sorted that into 4 x Huangfeng PTG and 2 x Jianghu FF. All six were sent to the bottom.
Turns out this was the surface battlegroup I was supposed to destroy. Each of the Huangfeng carries anti-ship missiles that could have been used on our convoys. Mission accomplished!
