Previously, in the Cold Waters (DotMod) Y2000 NATO campaign, we have just destroyed the three new subs PLAN just bought from the Russians: a Victor III, a Sierra, and an Akula.

30-SEP-00 The Brass decided to give me a Bronze star for eliminating the fresh Russian subs. However, it also came with a new mission.

MISSION: intercept PLAN submarines delivering Commandos to Kaohsiung, Taiwan. (Again)

We failed last time to reach the area as we were resupplying in Guam. We will not fail again.

Kaohsiung on the west side of Taiwan. If we are to do this, we need to get there ASAP. Fortunately, it is a very short trip from the Paracels to the Strait of Formosa. Unfortunately, it's also a VERY busy corridor for the PLAN.

30-SEP-00 Encountered a couple merchants... and 2 Romeo subs. Both were sunk, though one did manage to spit out no less than six torpedoes at us. All missed, of course.
