In this video I'm showing you how to change the location of the Google Chrome download folder. I'm also using Google Chrome on Windows 10 for this example.
For this example I'm creating a new folder on my D drive and making changes to Google Chrome so that it then uses the new folder on drive D to where it saves its download files to.
You can actually the location of the Google Chrome download folder to anywhere you would like on your PC. This could be a folder that you already have or new folder like I've done.
The reason why I've changed the location of my Google Chrome download folder is because the original location for the Chrome downloads folder is on the C drive, or the Windows 10 boot drive. Because my Windows 10 C drive is so small, it would fill up very quickly with the download files from the Google Chrome Web browser. Now that I've moved the Google Chrome internet browser download folder to a larger capacity SSD drive, I can now download more files without worrying that my Chrome downloads will fill up my C drive.
You can move the downloads folder location to anywhere you like and for whatever your reasons are but I would recommend using a folder with a meaningful name, just so that you know where it is and it's easy to locate and find in the future.
