In this video I explain how you connect an XLR condenser microphone to a GoPro Hero9 that requires phantom power. I also give an example of a simple and cheap XLR phantom power microphone preamp unit that works with the GoPro. This is the Saramonic Smartrig.
What I describe in the video is exactly the same for the Hero 8 and its media mod and also works for the Hero5, Hero6, Hero7 and Hero8 with the GoPro Pro 3.5mm mic adapter. If the 3.5mm mic adapter becomes compatible with the 9 then the same will apply for that as well.
