The Lavabrink Luis deck is a retooling of our Cheery Burn deck from last week but minus the white, so we are just Rakdos. It's in the midrange/control space with a hint of combo. We're a ramp deck using ramp pieces that also damage our opponent and create a board of threats as they ramp us. We'll use accumulated treasures and bursts of mana to drop 6 and 7 drop bombs as well as to fuel X burn effects that target our opponent directly, including Lou himself, to finish our opponents off, usually in one decisive blast.

Cheering Crowd and Generous Plunderer are sort of aggro ramp pieces. They gain us additional mana, but also represent potentially a lot of damage via attacking (either by growing big or pinging for artifacts). Lavabrink Repels the Magmaloth is the most painful ramp of all, as its burst of 3 mana, is followed the next turn by a Lava Axe to our opponent's face!

We're ready to take advantage of all this extra mana with bombs like Ugin, Eye of the Storms, but especially with our pal Luis, Pompous Pillager who is our primary wincon! Our aggro ramp creatures getting in for damage coupled with our Lavabrink Axes should mean 1 or 2 Luis can seal the deal and secure victory.

Can this cleaned up and simplified list perform better than the 0-5 we got with the original iteration? Well, it can't do any worse right? Seriously though, this deck is great fun!
