Been a couple of sets since I last ran it, so it's time to revising one of my favorite archetypes: Hate Bears!

Through the Hatepaths is a controlling midrange decks that uses disruptive creatures that counteract the most popular and powerful value engines of the format. We'll be shutting off our opponents' key triggers and abilities, completely breaking up their game plan until we can't help but win!

The hate is abundant in this iteration! ETB triggers are always powerful and looking to be more popular after OM1. Doorkeeper Thrull shuts those down for creatures and artifacts (hello Simulacrum Synthesizer)! I hear activated abilities are a thing in M:tG. Clarion Conqueror says no to that, so your Planeswalkers can just stay home! Triggered abilities providing your opponents too much value? Detect Intrusion says not anymore, and I'll counter that Doom Blade too! Tired of turn 4 Valgavoths from the graveyard? Veteran Survivor and Rest and Peace have got it covered! Play fair, opponents! Aggro got you feeling like there isn't enough 1 mana removal in the game? Slow those hasty threats way down with Makdee and Itla, Skysnarers and Authority of the Consuls! And why not take advantage of their tapped state to cast a Ride's End or Split Up! It's 3 mana Plague Wind! Tired of all your relevant plays being countered? Voice of Victory says no to that pesky instant speed play! Sorry opponents!

In short, we've got hate for every popular and powerful archetype in the game! Our opponents will be thwarted at every turn! Verilax the Havenskin does a decent impression of Phyrexian Vindicator and boosts up our close out potential. We're Azorious so we're packing the removal and protection to see our plan through. Our hate will make us powerful!
