Chrono Trigger "Glitch"
31https://www.patreon.com/ulillillia --- I felt something was off about the tech points, but I've now confirmed my suspicion. Let's say the tech you're about to learn has 10 tech points remaining on it. You get the Nu in the hunting grounds and defeat it for the big 30 tech points it offers. The next tech needs 400 tech points to learn it. You'd think you'd have 380 left to go as the 20 extra in overflow gets used toward the next skill. Wrong! Strangely, yet an additional 30 tech points are added on so you have not the 380 you'd expect, but 350. Magus's black hole takes 900 tech points, right? So how could I have gone all the way down to 859 when I had 23 left, after only getting 32? There's 9 extra so it should be 891... unless black hole actually needs 868 tech points to master instead of 900. How weird! This short video, under 4 minutes, shows proof of this glitch. You can see that Magus's exp increase is the same 1581 that it should be and tech points normally decrease by 32 each time, just gaining that bonus 32 upon learning a new tech. This is the PS1 version. I don't know if it's present in any other version.
