From this point and onwards, everything we are going to do is absolutely optional. I can go and fight Lavos right now, however, I am obviously too feeble to try at the moment.

Before I begin doing all the sidequests, I must get that level 1 Crono of mine and put him back into my party, which he will not leave.

This video shows the first battle against the Lavos Spawn on the Death's Peak, on my way to reviving the punk rocker.

This thing has 4K HP, meaning the best way to kill it is to go all out offensive, which I manage to pull off successfully. Frog and Ayla do their double tech, Robo Uzzi Punches and then they attack the lavos spawn before it is able to attack the second time. His first full-party attack is survivable with the right equipment choice (best equipment on Frog and the HP + 50% accessory on Robo).
