The Original Game Boy is one of the biggest 'game changers' in the history of video games, and essentially ushered in the popularity of handheld games. There are many games that will be classic forever. There are, however, a much, much higher number of simply awful, forgettable, or downright weird games. CiB Game Boy Theater shows you some of the games you might not (and shouldn't be...) familiar with.

Our first game today is FIFA 96 --- unfortunately, since we're trying to take a look at as many Game Boy games as possible, we're going to have to deal with some sports games once in a while. FIFA 96 was

Like every other 'realistic' Game Boy game, it looks pretty solid (and props to the Super Game Boy support) but it plays just awful. I'm leaning towards this being fairly impressive in 1995, but really tough to stomach nowadays.

Our next game is Alad------ uh... Darkwing Duck! It's been a few days since we played this one, and I have to say I'm still very, very impressed by Capcom's work here. Darkwing Duck was developed and published by Capcom, released in 1992.

As far as I can tell, this is just about a 1:1 port of the NES game, and the NES game is already an underrated gem - I can't say enough about how great of a Game Boy game this is - it works extremely well for what it is, and you should play this one (the NES or GB versions, whichever) any way you can - thanks for watching!
