The Original Game Boy is one of the biggest 'game changers' in the history of video games, and essentially ushered in the popularity of handheld games. There are many games that will be classic forever. There are, however, a much, much higher number of simply awful, forgettable, or downright weird games. CiB Game Boy Theater shows you some of the games you might not (and shouldn't be...) familiar with.

Pinball Dreams was released in 1992 for the Game Boy, being developed by Digital Illusions (which became DICE, aka the Battlefield/EA company... wow lol) and published by GameTek (game show games like Jeopardy, and a bunch of other garbage). Pinball Dreams has a rockin' soundtrack, and the pinball feels like pinball, but these boards are very, very basic. They are even more basic than 'Pinball' for NES. It's, uh, pinball.

Mortal Kombat 3 was released in 1995 for the Game Boy, developed and published by Midway. We've already looked at Mortal Kombat 1, which was absolutely horrible, and Mortal Kombat 2, which was still very bad, but much, much improved. We have the same thing here for Mortal Kombat 3 - it's a bit better than Mortal Kombat 2, but still definitely lacking. I'm going to give this game a pass, because I know for an absolute fact it was a blast to play on Game Boy 'back in the day'. It's just a little harder to stomach now - thanks for watching!
