CiB Let's Try - Star Wars: Masters of Teräs Käsi (PS1)
Star Wars: Masters of Teräs Käsi was released on November 25, 1997 as a Playstation exclusive. It was developed and published by LucasArts, who need no introduction.
Let's get this out of the way -- this is not a great game, nor is it even particularly -good-, but it certainly is not one of the worst games of all-time, nor is it even one of the worst fighting games on the PS1. I totally understand that given the lofty expectations of Star Wars (at the time...) and LucasArts, it failed miserably, and people should have expected better from a Star Wars fighting game -- but looking at this objectively, this isn't even in the top 10 worst fighting games on the PS1 -- trust me, we've played a lot of them.
That being said, besides being Star Wars, there's not a lot to see here. The controls are definitely clunky, and the actual fighting is a chore. The character selection (at least what we have before any potential unlocks) is kinda lame -- although the John Williams-esque score is awesome, as always. Overall, pretty mediocre / 'mid' game, but not nearly as bad as I've been led to believe. Thanks for watching!
