Cliffhanger (Nes) Playthrough / A crappy adaptation of a pretty good movie. Luckily playable.
Cliffhanger (1993) from Spidersoft and Virgin Interactive, is an extremely poor approach to film egranization. I'm curious if Sylvester Stallone has ever seen this game hehehe. He'd probably get pretty pissed, so much so that after seeing this masterpiece he'd probably get his lip loose again and start shooting at amok in all directions AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! For 1993, this really came out poorly in terms of visuals..... all in all, it is probably a port of the game from gameboy, to which colors were simply added. Indiana Jones and the last crusade suffered in the same way. Call me a masochist but .... "I like" this game. Pure nostalgia, I remember I once rented it, passed it in a day and just gave it back the next day exchanging it free for another game. The music although it is scarce somehow appeals to me. Maybe because it's hard to find similar rhythms on the NES. Gameplay-wise it's not bad either, it's very simple in its premise and doesn't try to make the game as difficult as some NES games in order to artificially prolong gameplay. The controls are responsive and simple enough that no one should have trouble with it. And that scene when Gabe rides off the cliff on that bandit ah brilliant.... Overall I'm aware that it's a turd, but not as stinky as it might seem at first glance. I've seen and played far worse games.
