Wolfchild (Amiga) Playthrough / He transformed into a werewolf shooting plasma to save his father XD
Wolfchild (1992) from Core Design, is one wild platformer, and I even dare say one of the best on the system. Graphically it's good, the sprites despite being rather small are quite detailed, and the animations are really smooth. The level design is very good, compared to other Amiga counterparts, because the levels are simple and one-line, and it's rather impossible to get lost in them. Yes level designs on the amiga were a nightmare for gamers back in the day....... paths leading to nowhere , leaps of faith, multi-level stages, confused level design and all this further limited by a time limit. This led to frustration more than once. Returning to the game, it is a platformer with a transformation feature. The life bar, which is divided into 2 sections, is responsible for transformations. When we cross the border of the first bar we turn into eeee werewolf Wolfcild, ? :P In the form of a human we have at our disposal only close-range melee attacks while after transformation we get at our disposal ranged attacks. There are a few types of them, depending on what power up we pick up, but the fact remains that it gives a great advantage and we really want to store these lives, being careful not to accidentally lose them in a stupid way. And believe me it is very important, because playing as a human you can say that some zones in the levels have not been adapted to his abilities at all, and end up with express deaths even walking slowly. In fact, I associate it slightly with "Shmups", you die once and the game becomes much more difficult. Despite the fact that it may not be the prettiest version of the game or the smoothest, but the music is by far the best ( at least in my opinion ) and this is aspect that basically sold this version for me. In general, I recommend to every Amiga fan because this is a game of the highest caliber for this system.
