Columns Crown Game Sample - GBA

Done well over a year ago, I was one of the first people to put up a video of Columns Crown. Having access to better recording methods than I did a year ago and unsatisfied with the overall video quality, I decided to redo this video, showing more stuff and the various modes. Oddly enough, there still are hardly any videos for Columns Crown, so I guess it is a little more under-the-radar than I thought, which is strange when you think of the popularity of the Columns series.
Columns Crown is a good early GBA title featuring cute characters, lively and colorful backdrops, various modes that you're accustomed to in Columns games as well as new twists and single or multiple cart versus modes, and pretty good music. Playing as Chadly or Alissa (Jade and Ruby by default), your primary goal is to help Princess Dazzle find all 24 jewels to the royal "Columns Crown", which is said to grant a wish if all the jewels are placed on it. You'll get a wish and the Princess can take her rightful place as Queen of the land.
While the story is a decent touch and the visuals are admiteddly pretty good, there isn't much you haven't seen before, with the primary exception of "Magic" abilities which can be cast in versus modes, and there are quite a few to choose from, which enhances the multiplayer experience. You can also manipulate "Black Magic" jewels near the tops of stacks to manipulate columns destruction in a greater capacity than the single jewel provided in older titles. It's not the greatest puzzle game ever, but it's a neat, well-rounded title and a good addition to a GBA enthusiast's collection or a Columns fanatic. This video shows Survival, VS-CPU Mode, Flash Columns, and ends with a scene collecting a jewel (which was taken from footage of Survival Mode, contrary to the Purple one collected near the end of the video in Flash Columns).
