Lemuria is a strange doujin title developed by...hmm....urgggghhh...actually...Fantasticality or something (it's in the video startup). The visual stylings remind me of a Rezetia game (notably Vampire Castle) and I don't know if Fantasticality is related to Rezetia, but I wouldn't be too surprised if they were. Let me now tell you something a little more interesting; this game is based on KID's popular visual novel, Ever 17: The Out of Infinity...apparently, it's part of a series of "Infinity" games from KID.

Ever 17 had two main protagonists; Takeshi Kuranari and an amnesiac simply named "Kid" (oooohhh...how clever). However, you won't be using Takeshi in this game. Lemuria no Nazo lets you use Kid and "You Tanaka" (a character that Kid can form a strong bond with in the E17 game). Like E17, LnN starts on Insel Null...which was an underwater marine park or something...didn't read every juicy detail about the game, but I have just told you the bare minimum.

Anyway, the game is a very simple platformer. You run and jump and drop bombs...that's it. The bombs can open closed doors and can find hidden doors if you blow up the right spot. You can also destroy enemies with them, which can prove to be annoying since they move around a lot. You can even blow up yourself, which (needless to say) results in the lose of a life. The game has many stages with varying difficultly and some areas require some maddening jumping skillz, not to mention that your hero and heroine possess an annoying jump where you can't change direction in mid-flight. It's about as annoying as SGnG's jump, but while you can't change direction, you can slow down your movement in air to make jumps more precise. It's playable, with decent music.
