Command: The Silent Service is a standalone DLC for Command: Modern Ops (often abbreviated CMANO). This is Submarine Tutorial 2-3, Intermediate level.
We are commanding a Japanese JMSDF sub Soryu, and we need to kill an Akula II, which has better torpedoes and better sonar. Our only advantage is we are quieter... even on AIP (air independent propulsion), and we can ambush it...

Soryu is heading east. We know the Akula is to our east and coming this way. But there are other contacts in the area, and we need to be patient... VERY patient. We remain on silent running, creep speed, just above the layer.

New sonar contact, unknown, bearing 83, est range 45 nm. This may be the Akula. We will turn perpendicular to it, and go 2 kt, stopping when we get a direct contact. We will wait for it to go by, then feed him 3 torpedoes.

That is indeed the Akula II, aka Shchuka-B. Remain on weapons tight.

We are going to move north a little to make sure we are in her baffles. Helm, heading 345, creep speed. Weps, ready tubes 1, 2 and 3, continuous update. Helm, steer 292.
23:10 Ready to Shoot
Weps, get ready. Confirm tubes 1, 2, and 3 are targeted on the Akula.
Ready.
Launch tubes 1, 2, and 3 on generated bearings.
All weapons running hot, straight, and true.
Torpedo impact imminent... 3... 2... 1... Breakup noises. Akula is sunk! Torpedo 2 and 3 still seeking...
Just keep it away from us. Any other hostiles?
No hostiles in area, sir.
Arm self-destruct on torpedoes 2 and 3. Verify destruction, then disengage.
