ComputerCraft: turtle path finding
ComputerCraft is fun! Here I made a turtle that learns about its environment as it roams. It allows itself to make mistakes (turtles are pretty much blind, so what can you do?), but it never makes the same mistake twice. It's a little awkward when it tries to avoid obstacles by boring through the border, but in the process it learns about a lot of wall. You can really see it improve over time.
In retrospect I regret using a simply-connected maze to show it off; it will find the shortest path out of many. And yes, other movements are trivial to add. It's just that flying over the maze is pretty lame.
Some people have asked me for the code. Actually I deleted it while cleaning up my saves folder. Sorry. :-(
