In “Context Matters,” I discuss the point in my life when I first played a game and what it meant to me.

The World Ends With You for the Nintendo DS felt like an incredible blast of fresh air. A new, modern take on the JRPG with a fresh battle system that took full advantage of the DS in such a way that the game couldn’t be done justice on any other system. And, because I took a chance to talk about it on a (relatively) new platform, it opened up a whole new world to me, albeit a short lived one.
