[BLIND LET'S PLAY] - SPOILERS IN THE DESCRIPTION FOR BOTH THIS GAME AND "Corpse Party: Blood Covered"! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!

With the Shinozaki estate suddenly having manifested, Ayumi urges Naomi to go in with her now that the opportunity to do so has presented itself, despite Naomi and Neosekken's GREAT hesitation with that idea considering that everyone was trapped in a looping forest for HOURS and that the person who took them up the mountain where the estate is located has mysteriously vanished. But this wouldn't be a disaster waiting to happen if everybody just did the common-sense thing and just stop what they were doing and wait everything out until next morning when sunlight is likely to put a stop to the supernatural forces at work (because Neo has no reason to assume it WOULDN'T work at this point.). Nope, there's no brakes on the Redemption Train, and the conductor, Ayumi, has ZERO intentions to stop it from arriving at the next corpse party!

And so they enter the house, and begin exploring every nook and cranny they can access. Besides finding traces of Yoshie Shinozaki's clinical profession in several rooms of the house, everyone eventually finds some interesting clues that point to the possibility that Yoshie might have used Sachiko in some kind of ritual, per Ayumi's speculations, although no definitive proof of this is found. There's also some trace evidence of the existence of Sachiko's father, although with how little evidence of the man is actually present in the house Neo, Ayumi and Naomi can't help but wonder if there isn't a very specific reason as to why the guy isn't featured much in the house at all.

While everyone is going over the clues placed throughout the house and trying to piece together a narrative of the Shinozaki members' lives inside the house, they start hearing VERY heavy footsteps thundering through the house, as though searching for something... and Ayumi and Naomi assume that the source of the noises is likely searching for THEM, and Neo sees no reason to disagree with this idea. Discovering a hidden door in Yoshie's room, Ayumi and Naomi flee through it after unlocking it, and they find themselves entering a hidden basement underneath the Shinozaki Estate.

It is here that they find two very important things: the first is a document showing the family tree of the Shinozaki family going back hundreds of years back to the times where clans of spirit mediums were supposedly more common than they are in the modern day, showing that not only is Yoshie and Sachiko descendents of spirit mediums... but that Ayumi and her older sister share common ancesters with Yoshie and Sachiko, showing that their families are distantly related to each other. Now as for the second thing they find in the basement? Following a sixth sense of sorts, Ayumi knocks down a wall in the basement, and behind it she discovers an artifact that she had no idea would be in the Shinozaki Estate: the Book of Shadows. And considering the face of the book itself, Neo has little reason to believe that it is a book that is not in any way connected with some form of black magic.

It is then that Naomi, not knowing what the Book of Shadows even is, asks Ayumi about it. Ayumi proceeds to explain the history of the book, and sure enough Neo is proven right about it being involved with black magic, but that only scratches the surface of the history of this particular book. After Ayumi finishes explaining what the book is to Naomi and, going over the contents and finding a section revolving around a VERY particular spell, Ayumi proposes to Naomi a plan that Neo finds so astronimically risky, so mind-numbingly stupid, so utterly lacking in ANY foresight, and all but GUARANTEED to bring some sort of nasty disaster their way that Neo finds himself practically YELLING at Ayumi for being crazy enough to even SUGGEST the idea: use the Book of Shadows to try and revive their friends, a book that is BARELY understood by either of them, is only PARTIALLY translated in Japanese, right then and there, on the spot, RIGHT IN THE BELLY OF THE SHINOZAKI ESTATE, just on the SHEER HOPE that the spell that Ayumi wants to try MIGHT work.

... And then Neo begins getting slightly hysterical when Ayumi starts successfully guilt-tripping Naomi into going along with this insanity...
