Dino Crisis (Pt 1): Neo Finds Himself on an Island Filled With Barney's Friends, & Fresh Corpses
3In some computer system belonging to an unknown party, a report from a spy stationed at an island under the control of a foreign country known as "Ibis Island" is received. In it the spy, known as agent "Tom", details how he successfully infiltrated the military research facility on Ibis Island under the guise of a researcher, but that during his time at the facility he has been unable to obtain any information on new type weapons being developed there. However, what he DOES discover is an unexpected individual at this facility: Doctor Edward Kirk, the leading authority of THEIR country's energy research who was allegedly killed in an accident 3 years ago. Doctor Kirk is apparently working on a secret weapons project within the Ibis Island facility, and that the country that controls the island seems to somehow be involved with Kirk's stagged accidental death. Agent Tom recommends to his higher-ups that necessary actions be taken immediately.
It is then that a set of orders is written up, the first being that Kirk acquired and brought back into custody, but before Neosekken can read what the second order is the screen cuts to black. Fast forward and Neo witnesses 4 agents from SORT (the Secret Operation Raid Team) infiltrate Ibis Island by parachuting down from a chopper - but only 3 of them manage to make it to the facility as one of the 4, agent "Cooper", is devoured by a Tyrannosaurus Rex deep within the forests of the island.
As the other 3 SORT agents ("Regina", "Rick" and "Gail") arrive at the back of the facility on the island, they notice that something is wrong with the facility: the lights in the guardhouses are out, there isn't another soul in sight. They decide to enter further into the backyard of the facility, and discover only more ominous signs of danger: massive holes in the chain-link fences, and bullet cassings and sploches of blood on some parts of the ground. When Rick goes inside the facility to scout on ahead, he discovers that the building appears deserted. Things proceed to go downhill from there, and before everyone knows it they're finding themselves face-to-face with some of Barney the Dinosaur's homicidal friends, which intend to devour them much like one of the corpses that Neo, Regina and Gail discover as they keep exploring the outside of the facility.
Thus begins Neo's adventure into the latest installment of Jurassic Par- I mean, Capcom's Playstation 1 title, "Dino Crisis", and if Neo doesn't want to find himself going down some dinosaur's stomach then he'll need to keep his wits about him as he explores the bloodbath that Ibis Island has become, all the while attempting to both locate Dr. Kirk and uncover the mystery of how these prehistoric animals have suddenly appeared in the present time, and on Ibis Island of all places...
