An original rag by Marc Moore (me), originally composed in 2020 and revised in 2022. I wrote this rag on piano, but found a digital recording was the easiest way to get a piano-roll-like recording true to the way I wanted it to sound. Links to sheet music and midi file below.
One day back in 2020 when walking across the UNC Charlotte campus, I came up with a melody for a rag and decided to name it after the road I was walking along, Craver Road. While I'd attempted to write some rags before this, Craver Rag was the first rag I'd come up with that felt like a complete composition. As such, it was exciting to be able to come back to it after a couple years and really perfect what I'd started years back. #ragtime #goniners
