I've been trying to experiment more with the left-hand parts of my rags lately. In doing so here, I somewhat accidentally ended up making more of a tango background than my typical ragtime one. Decided to take some inspiration from some of Ernesto Nazareth's maxixe works. Since I also sometimes go by Ernest on some corners of the internet, Ernesto seemed like a fitting name for it. I also topped it off with a reference to Gottschalk's La Gallina for an optional duet ending since it fit the style so well. #ragtime #ragtimepiano #tango
