Curse of Naxxramas Frostwyrn Lair Bosess Basic Deck
So late, but finally the last wing for Hearthstone's Curse of Naxxramas Adventure! We take on the Frost Wyrm Sapphiron and the Lich Kel'Thuzad with a deck using free cards available at level 1. To unlock this wing, you must have unlocked all other wings first, but the rewards are your very own Echoing Ooze, Shade of Naxxramas and the legendary card Kel'Thuzad himself!
The same deck was used for both Frostwyrm lair bosses.

Sapphiron Strategy:
Sapphiron has a hero power that kills all your unfrozen creatures, and the way to avoid it is to use the Frozen Champion on the field. It gives adjacent minions immunity from Sapphiron's hero power. It's a good idea to try to keep the Frozen Champion alive, so playing as a Priest can be helpful. Sapphiron also has a lot of removal and freeze, so having decent removal yourself is beneficial. Spells and charge minions are very useful as they avoid being rendered useless by freeze. Healthy creatures (particualrly with taunt can also help).
Kel'Thuzad Strategy:
This boss fight has two phases. The lich starts off with 10 armor and a free direct damage hero power. It's very easy to get rushed down to low hp in this phase, so you have to take control of the board at all costs. Keeps some low mana minions and cheap removal for this. The second phase of the fight occurs when Kel'Thuzad's armor is taken out. He forcefully ends your turn (wasting any mana crystals you have left), summons two 3/3 minions with taunt, and changes his hero power to an 8 mana one that takes control of one of your minions for a turn. To avoid this trap, don't take out his armor until you have a solid board and have played all you want to play. Kel'Thuzad will typically avoid using his hero power is he has cards to play. To prevent it from crippling you, dominate the board in numbers. But be careful not to over commit, as he will use Twisting Nether to clear the entire board. Around 3 mid-sized minions is probably enough if he has nothing. Avoid playing high attack creatures if it looks like Kel'Thuzad will use his hero power. In this phase of the fight, focus on outpacing him with damage.
