Celestial Mechanica is a free indie puzzle platformer game created by Paul Veer (art & animation) and Roger Hicks (code & music).

In this first impressions video review, we watch the introductory cutscene, admire the fantastic music, and enjoy some gameplay. In Celestial Mechanica, you play as a robot, a Mechanican, who has fallen to the Earth from the floating city of Mechanica. You meet another of your kind an must explore the world and get past various traps and enemies to get back to the city of Mechanica.

The gameplay in Celestial Mechanica is that of a standard platformer, but with a few unique twists. For one, you need to gather power ups to unlock abilities beyond basic movement. For example, double jumping, wall jumping, catching and throwing enemy bullets, and reflecting projectiles are a few of the abilities that are unlocked over the course of play.
