Cyberpunk 2077 (2020) [Xbox One Gameplay #1]
0The abysmal graphics and performance of Cyberpunk 2077 on the original Xbox One are downright shocking. It is one of the worst trainwrecks I have seen in my 30+ years of gaming. I had to unplug all the capture cards and HDMI splitters and reconnect straight to the TV just to make sure that my equipment wasn't messing with the console's output. It wasn't; this is indeed how broken the game is on the least powerful iteration of the lastgen console generation. This is worse than the Switch versions of The Witcher 3 and probably even The Outer Worlds in its pre-patch state (although i haven't played the latter port). The game runs so terribly that the controls literally stop responding to your inputs. For example, I tried for the longest time to switch camera angles while in the car and the game simply wouldn't let me.
The Internet drama around refund policies on various platforms has always struck me as somewhat overblown, but I think everyone who purchased a copy of CB2077 with the intention to play the game solely on the original Xbox One should definitely get their money back. And some free psychiatric treatment to help them process what they've just been through.
