More nostalgia in this run, talking about things that were true in 2011. This was one of the few places that I played through back when the game was new, before I stopped for a little while.
Gargoyles - having Green Blossoms helps, as well as the Chloranthy Ring, and Grass Crest Shield. If you're still on NG, having the Master Key will make it faster to farm for Green Blossoms and pick up the Grass Crest Shield because you can enter Darkroot from the Undead Burg. Otherwise you'll have to enter Darkroot Garden from Andre's Blacksmith area. You need to take out the first Gargoyle as fast as you can, because if you waste too much time, or deal enough damage, the second one will appear and start breathing fire at you. Dealing with two enemies at a time is difficult in the original Dark Souls. If you're on NG+ and beyond, having buffs will make this much easier. You can see just how much damage I was doing, even if I did get myself killed.
