Dark Souls part 4 - Blighttown
This is a nostalgic playthrough of Dark Souls at NG4.
Entering Blighttown 0:38
Bonfire on the bridge 6:05
Maneater Mildred invasion 11:03
Blighttown boss 13:04
I never go into Blighttown from the front entrance. I always take the shortcut from Firelink Shrine because I always have the Master Key. It's much less dangerous that way. I went through the front in NG3 because I knew I was going to record it in NG4. The Ring of Fog is a lifesaver here because it keeps you out of sight from those godawful toxic dart guys. The best thing about them is that after you kill them once, they don't respawn. They drop moss, but they hardly ever drop Blooming Purple Moss, so it's helpful to have some from the Undead Female Merchant in the shortcut from Firelink to the Lower Undead Burg.
I didn't go into Blighttown until January 2012 after I'd been playing games like Dodonpachi and recording Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon. Imagine my surprise when I found you could farm the slugs and get five Green Titanite Shards at a time. And here I was, happy that I could get one from the slimes in the Depths.
Back in 2012, I did a base level no healing class challenge against Quelaag, so here's the link:

I brought Maneater Mildred with me into the boss fight because I was playing for fun and I have nothing to prove. Quelaag is not difficult, just roll through her swings and attack her legs. Watch out when she stomps them down, because that can one shot you. Get back when she starts shaking, because that means her AoE is coming. Maneater Mildred can take the heat off of you too, because as with any boss, they can't decide who to go after when there's more than one of you.
