Deadly mercenaries is a ,,damage-DoT" team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Highwayman (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
2nd: Jester (dodge trinket + damage trinket) - deathblow dealer
3rd: Grave robber (dodge trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
4th: Arbalest (healing trinket + damage trinket) - healer
PROS:
1) Mark synergy (Arbalest + Highwayman / Grave robber)
2) Great damage output
3) Great stress output
4) Great DoT output
5) 2 disruptors
6) 4 deathblowers
CONS:
1) Stress is a menace
2) DoT is a menace
3) Low healing potential
Deadly mercenaries is an odd damage team with great strength of DoT and stress. All characters are deathblowers (even Arbalest with hers „Sniper shot“ on marked character), next you have 2 disruptors and mark synergy, but only one healer. Sadly this team is vulnerable against stress teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, such as „mix damage + DoT“, „the finishers“, „mark team“ and „full stress“. I tried both variantions of Highwayman (bandit / gunslinger) and Grave robber (pure damage / DoT stresser), both variantions are good.
My advice: Start with Highwayman for dealing massive damage, next use Grave robber for dealing also damage to injured character. If he has low health, Jester can use „Finale“. Lastly Arbalest for dealing damage / healing.
On the first look I was afraid, because the healing potency rely on Arbalest. If she's pulled to the frontline / stunned or used as damager, you don’t have any healing (damage / debuffs). On the other hand all characters can make great damage and DoT. I lost only once against novice player in rematch („mark team“ strategy, Arbalest without „Flare“, instead „Bola“) and I didn’t have a chance. The team’s name is very accurate, , if you omit the „mark team“, they are absolute beasts. But be careful, which skills do you use, one misclick or mistake, and you’re gone. Playing was fun, but I see some disadvantages, that I cannot give them higher rate. A solid mid rate.
