DFFOO [JP] mBRV cap up crew: Serah/WoL/Ramza
42I like how WoL just goes back to 250-320K when he is about to launch whenever Serah moves. This is even with Fusoya LDCA falling off because of a misstep in turn order, but the end result is pretty much the same. So even my inner stubbornness would not be so fixated at looking at pretty holding BRV numbers.
This is pretty much a semi-refined full video version of the screemshot I posed yesterday. This time Serah BT phase pretty much starts at 999%. It is not without flaws though due to WoL going behind the last Selphie turn and Serah going before her. As a result Ramza came back earlier than usual and Serah's buff has fallen off. The good thing is Ramza's S2 gives 50% FR bonus and allies buffs at the same time, so it was a timely fix before Serah went into BT.
Again just for your reference in terms of party wide mBRV cap up:
WoL: BT+3/HA+3/UW+3/FR/FE 30 (85% cap up) (finally BT+3 lol)
Ramza: BT+3/HA+3/WoL has his UW/FE 20 (51% cap up @18 buffs)
Serah: BT+3/HA+3/UW+1/FR(e)/FE 30 (45% cap up)
Serah has 125K self mBRV cap on armor.
This is almost a ST BT phase since I decided to get rid of Vayne first due to the launch debuff on him almost always falling off with all the consecutive turns he has. Yet Serah really has no chill with all the 30-40m attacks. So poor Garland took all the beating.
She is actually quite a capable AOE dmg dealer as well. At the very least the BT follow-up is always a 3 dump capped AOE attack. Everything else has some kind of AOE (splash or split) on top of that. LD is even 100% AOE now.
Enna Kros LDCA
There is almost no difference on how you conduct the BT phase when it starts at very close to 999%, other than using LD for free skill on S1/S2 depending on whether you want to AOE or ST.
On the other hand with Enna Kros LDCA, it is always a gain to start with EX as it is the most damaging skills outside of FR for Serah. Again additional EX proc is always good. FR is undoubtedly the most damaging thing ever, so it is always at the end.
Unlike someone similar to Seymour, who would typically use EX really early for free skill procs (i.e. always a gain), using EX without a 999% start would be a gamble as you never know if you would get a one by the 5th turn of the BT phase.
BRV gain improvements
Compared to when C90 era started, which is when she last got kind of rework, Serah is now much more capable at handing out batteries to others. Back then she did not even have any BRV gain up aside from the puny C88 aura and her personal 30% up from armor.
Now she gets some from FR, some from LD and loads from BT+. Then she starts handing out refunds from FR and BT. Give her a battery C sphere and you would be set.
Reminder on E sphere tuning
I have mentioned this in the description yesterday but as a dedicated Serah run I will say this again. Serah's BT has 3 stacks and it only increases when she inflicts a debuff when she moves. Therefore it has some warm-up time before it reaches its full power. As FR(e) is a thing now, using 2 FR(e) is generally preferred.
As her FR does not inflict any debuffs, if you expect the fight not to end with one FR (i.e. You would want her stacks to carry over after the BT), or you anticipate her to go into BT after the 2 FR(e), then adding a debuff sphere to allow her FR to increase her stacks is a convenient way to solve this.
Bow UW
Iirc Serah is the first bow user with a BT ever, so she is pretty much at the peak of that category of characters now. Depending on whether you want to invest heavily base on efficiency/favouritism/seasonal rotation (monthly dismantling and restructuring), it is really subjective as to whether you want to UW+5 a bow. There are only 6 bow users, but most of them have their own niche. (Arguably Rosa's gimmick has been done by numerous others by now).
On the flip side, having her in the party means one less chance to run into characters needing the same UW. (Ironically it happened here)

Currently thinking on using Serah as a "support" for others or some theme runs. Haven't decided yet but the brainstorming alone is quite fun.
