DFFOO [JP] Unorthodox and niche use of Prishe BT - Modern Lufenia+ 0 iBRV cheese
I was testing if Vincent's massive iBRV debuff can make the youtuber Belial's 0 iBRV cheese saga possible even with all the insane Lufenia+ generic boss stat buffs (including iBRV) a glorious return. As I was shopping on Dissidia Compendium for iBRV debuff users (there aren't really a lot of them that are not generic lol), I found a weird mechanic of Lenna's iBRV debuff dependent on the number of BRV hits that hit the enemy, so shenanigans started.
Credits to Dissidia Compendium for info. Do refer to it for specifics.
Lenna's iBRV debuff:
I am not an expert on this, Belial and database devs may probably have a better idea about the specific numbers. On compendium it says it has a upper limit to the scaling of the iBRV debuff dependent on the BRV hits and I thought Vincent's was the highest. Turns out with Prishe's intriguing +1 BRV hits to all hits make Lenna the actual queen of generic iBRV debuff potency.
Testing and Conclusion on potency and condition:
1. Lenna iBRV debuff with Prishe BT is more potent than Vincent's
The test is simple. Do Lenna's Rapid Fire+ (it needs to be the + version) before and again after Prishe BT and Vincent's S1. Since Lenna's has a shorter duration, it is easy to see that at the end that Lenna's was the one overwriting Vincent's 8 turn debuff (after LD use it turns to 8 turns). Even with Vincent S1 again afterwards it will never be overwritten. Thus concluding that Lenna's is more potent.
2. ST vs AoE
Because of the number of hits hit and Lenna's S1 being a RANDOM 15 (5x3 after rewrok) hit attack, this test is necessary to see if it applies AoE as well. Repeating the above test again against 2 or more targets. As it turns out, some of the targets were overwritten by Lenna while the other one is not. Thus concluding that the hits have to be actually hitting the target for the scaling to work.
From the above experiments I think it is safe to conclude that Lenna's iBRV debuff is the most potent generic one with Prishe BT and hitting ST target. You can do it on two targets but it will not be at max potency.
ingredients:
To be honest, not extremely different from the old units that Belial used but with a few new additions.
Prishe with BT - necessary for buffing Lenna's debuff, if the boss doesn't cleanse, you can technically call her in as a friend unit or swap her out for one.
Lenna - Just do a S1+ after Prishe BT, you can swap her out for a friend
Paine - Status break debuff, Wing Power buff and her tactics HA all have iBRV debuffs. Can use her as CA but the 30% from buff and HA won't be active.
Wakka LD(CA) - Status Reel randomness, but it is a whooping 50% lol
Amidatelion - iBRV debuff and speed debuff both has it when QS
Other potential partners:
Sherlotta - Can be used to sub Paine with her CA but not the reverse because Sherlotta needs to throw staff (AoE) or hurl staff (ST) to inflict light of rejection, which her CAs do not do.
Edward - EX debuff from QS
In this run, my Amidatelion does not have EX+, so only the framed iBRV debuff appeared. I don't have Edward Ex+, so I didn't use him but instead use Wakka LDCA here lol. I think it is possible to use Edward here instead of Wakka for consistency, especially if your Amidatelion is maxed out with another 10% from the speed debuff.
With all of these in place, the 0 iBRV cheese should be covered from start to finish, even with full stat boosts after 30%.
If the boss does not cleanse or you don't plan on letting the boss move more than 4 times, then feel free to swap out/in Prishe and Lenna for more consecutive turn DPS after the debuff is applied. Just don't rinse it off with debuff bloat lol. Or you can just let Prishe does her consecutive turn S1/S2 and keep breaking the boss every other turn. That should provide some longevity.
It is a rather niche use and discovery of Prishe BT and the setup can be specific, but it does work on the main boss. So technically 0 iBRV cheese is still possible even in Lufenia+ era. It should work on add summoning bosses as well, since you can just apply the iBRV debuff when the adds are dead and force all 15 hits to hit on the main boss.
